Supporting You and Your Partners in Care
We understand receiving medical treatment is only one part of the
healing process - and that you aren't the only one affected by your
diagnosis. Medical appointments and concerns can sometimes seem
overwhelming without someone to help you coordinate and be your
advocate. Our staff can assist you and your partners in care with a wide
range of services, including:
Genetic testing and counseling
Financial counseling and resources for support
Transportation access to assist patients to and from treatment appointments
Lodging options (including the
American Cancer Society Hope Lodge)
Home health,
palliative care and hospice referrals
Medical equipment assistance
Suggestions for cancer support groups
Assistance to access medications related to cancer treatment and symptom management for things like pain
Distress screening and management
Emotional support through counseling and referrals to local counseling services
Survivorship care plans and resources for patients who have completed treatment
