Thank you for your interest in our program! This is an exciting time as you determine the best place for you to continue your residency journey.
At The Christ Hospital, our goal is to provide you with a cardiology residency that gives you the chance to strengthen and expand your clinical knowledge, gain additional research experience, and further develop your communication skills through presentations to a variety of audiences. You will have the chance to work with preceptors who are dedicated clinicians with an enthusiasm for residency education as well as treatment teams who specialize in a variety of cardiac disorders.

Position Statement
PGY2 residency programs build upon Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) education and PGY1 pharmacy residency training to develop pharmacist practitioners with knowledge, skills, and abilities as defined in the educational competency areas, goals, and objectives for advanced practice areas. Residents who successfully complete PGY2 residency programs are prepared for advanced patient care or other specialized positions, and board certification in the advanced practice area, if available.

Ambulatory (Cardio-oncology Clinic—one 3-hour clinic per month plus Outpatient Cardiology Clinic—one 8.5 hour day per month. Both clinics are from August-June)

Development of a formulary monograph, treatment protocol or guideline
Opportunities to present in-depth literature reviews on therapeutic controversies

The Christ Hospital residency program participates in the ASHP Resident Matching Program and utilizes the Pharmacy Online Residency Centralized Application Service (PhORCAS).

Applicant Eligibility Criteria:
Graduate of an ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy degree program
Participating in or completed an ASHP-accredited PGY1 residency or one in the accreditation process
Licensed, or eligible for licensure, in the state of Ohio
Meets criteria for employment at The Christ Hospital including a negative drug and nicotine screen.
